Job Description:
Pathfinder International/Ethiopia (PI/E) is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to provide high quality reproductive health and family planning services that improve the lives of women and their families in Ethiopia.
Pathfinder is seeking a Driver for DFID’s Reducing Barriers and Increasing Utilization of Reproductive, Maternal and Neonatal Health Services in Ethiopia’s Program.
JOB TITLE: Driver
Required number of Drivers: 2
DUTY STATION: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to fields
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Diploma in Auto mechanics.
Minimum of: 3rd level renewed Driving License
Experience: Must have a minimum of five years of professional driving experience in INGO.
Competencies:
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Must demonstrate strong interest and commitment to family planning and reproductive health, maternal neonatal and child health services and the eradication of harmful traditional practices.
Must have demonstrable personal integrity and honesty
Must have pleasant personality and strong interpersonal skills to promote teamwork.
Must be willing to travel frequently to project activity regions and woredas.
DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Transport persons and goods in and outside of the city
Checks oil, grease, fuel and other consumable items of the vehicle every day.
Produce receipts for purchase of fuel and other consumable items for the vehicle
Records daily activities on the log-book
Ensures that the vehicle is regularly serviced and maintained
Washes and cleans the vehicle under his possession
Make sure that the vehicle is securely locked at all times
Reports immediately to the Regional Program Manager or Regional Program
Assistant in case of any accident related to the vehicle
Remind the Regional Program Assistant to renew insurance and road license one month before its expiry
Follow that the vehicle in the garage is properly repaired and ensures that it is in order upon receiving.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time
SALARY: As per salary scale of the organization.
