Job Position Description
 The Humanitarian Program Manager line manages humanitarian projects which are implemented at Semera hub in area of health, nutrition, WASH, education, food security and livelihoods, child protection and related.
 Required Qualifications
To be considered for the post, applicants need to have a minimum of 3 years management experience in a humanitarian and development environment, including significant field operations experience running both emergency and development programs; minimum of Bachelor Degree in development or other social
sciences;  Experience of emergency program cycle management;  Significant knowledge of humanitarian and development systems, institutions and donors and best practices in emergency management;  Substantial experience and knowledge of effective budget monitoring;    Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically;  An  in-depth  understanding  of  Afar pastoralist context with emergency response and development issues  in particular in relation to children;  Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills;   Fluency in written and spoken English;  Fluency in local/Afar language speaking;   Ability and willingness to live and work in harsh and difficult physical conditions in an area of potential insecurity;  Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  Save  the  Children’s Vision, Mission, Values  and Practices.
