PATH seeks to recruit a Finance Associate for Ethiopia Country Program Office based in Addis Ababa. S/He will report to the Country office Finance. The Finance Associate will be responsible for providing finance and administrative support to the Country Program.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Reviewing all disbursement and collections and prepare disbursements in cheque and wire transfers;
preparing collection and disbursement documents accordingly;
Ensure that all the finance documents are properly reviewed, authorized and filed;
Encoding data into QuickBooks on a timely basis;
Ensure that all financial documents are Stamped paid correctly;
Deliver letter to bank and ensure the salary transfer of staff to their respective accounts;
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented, reviewed, authorized and recorded accurately;
Preparing and settling income tax, withholding tax, and social security and other statutory obligations on monthly basis;
Supporting preparation of monthly financial reports and budgets;
Reviewing petty cash payment requests and reconciling funds;
Support during internal and external audits by availing documents, information and responses.
Updating the fixed asset register, conducting bi-annual count and preparing reports;
Ensuring availability of financial documents, like check stub, cash collection, withholding tax and petty cash receipt, etc. at all times;
Serving as primary liaison for PATH banks accounts;
Preparing quarterly international travel report to be submitted to HQ;

Job Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS
Sound judgment, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Proven ability to build strong relationships, work well as part of a team, and to incorporate views of other disciplines into her/his work
Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with colleagues and partners.
Excellent computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook and Ability to work with QuickBooks or other financial software
Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Demonstrated excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge on donor rules and regulation is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Amharic and English.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field of study
At least 3 years relevant experience, International NGOs experience will be advantageous.
Familiarity with and experience in implementing local financial rules and regulations, systems, and procedures preferably with NGO setting
