Job Description:
NEP+ is a National Network of eleven regional networks, two national associations and one specialized women network. NEP+ is one of the principal recipients Global Fund in Ethiopia. The mission of NEP+ is to lead, coordinate the contribution of PLHIV in the national response to networking partnership, capacity building, resource mobilization and relaying the voices of PLWHVs at all levels. Thus, it wants to recruit qualified candidates for the following position.
JOB TITLE: Driver
REPORTSTO: Personnel & General service Officer
JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of Driver position is to provide driving services to authorized passengers and transport goods. He/she also link the organization with government, NGOs and other service giving offices. Follows up the settlement of utilities, rental and other associated payments for NEP+’s offices and residences.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Job Responsibility #1 Driving Service:
Provide transport service to NEP+ staff and guests as instructed during or out of working hours as may be required;
Transport goods of the organization when instructed;
Takes responsibility for the safety of the vehicle assigned, tools and accessories;
Cleans and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and usable at all times;
Checks oil, fuel, water, tires, brakes & other electrical systems before starting driving the car;
Follows up maintenance need of the vehicle and promptly reports back to immediate supervisor;
Makes sure that he/she drives within the speed limits and according to traffic regulations;
Makes sure to wear seat belt and always asks and make sure that his/her passengers wear seat belt;
Ensures validity of his/her driving license.
Reports accidents timely to his/her supervisor all trip times, mileage and destinations.
Job Responsibility #2 Liaison Activities:
Handles the day today liaison activities with NGOs and government organizations;
Processes visa, collects and confirms air tickets, for NEP+ employee’s and guests;
Arranges hotel bookings, transport services to and from the airport for both arriving and departing NEP+ staff, consultants and official visitors;
Communicates with concerned government organizations for securing work permits.
Job Responsibility #3: Utility Services:
Prepares schedule for settlement of water, electricity, telephone bills and settles accordingly;
Settles office rent, utility payment, airline tickets, insurance payments timely;
Distributes NEP+’s correspondences to various organizations, collects and mails letters to and from the post office and collects daily newspapers;
Job Responsibility #4: Others
Reports back to requesting parties on status of their requests on a timely basis;
Submits weekly and monthly status report to her/his immediate supervisor;
Performs other incidental duties as requested by his/her immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training: College Diploma/Vocational School Certificate
EXPERIENCE: 2/6 years of relevant experience.
TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS
Excellent human relation skill;
Able to work under pressure;
3rd grade driving license.
Duty station: Addis Ababa
Salary: As per the organization scales
Language Good competency of English
