Currently MELCA is implementing a project funded by Bread for the World — Protestant Development Service entitled “Promoting agro-ecology, Informal education and livelihood improvement at Yebelo and Harewoshegen Kebeles in
Amhara Regional State, South Wello zone, Wereilu Wereda

For this specific project, MELCA is currently accepting expression of interest from qualified candidates for the position of:

Project Coordinator

Length of Contract: One Year with possibility of extension

Place of work: Amhara region, South Wolo zone, Wereillu Woreda town

Salary: Negotiable

Required Number: One

Report to: Program Manager

Duties and responsibilities;
    Manage all activities related to project cycle management including planning, need assessment, proposal preparation, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation and reporting in her/his project area
    Coordinate the day to day activates of the project through building an effective Communication with all relevant stakeholders of the project and enhance the project implementation.
    Working with grass root level communities and provide technical and materials support as per the project
    Collect and compile baseline data and other necessary data of the project and analyze and document and avail it at standard level.
    Prepare and provide progress, Quarter and annual reports for the donors, MELCA Ethiopia head offices and to relevant government offices.
    Prepare and provide weekly, Quarterly and annual plan to donor, MELCA Ethiopia HQ and relevant government offices.
    Organize capacity building trainings for project beneficiaries maintain proper quality and standards of the organization
    Delegate MELCA-Ethiopia at her/his base project area as well as when MELCA-Ethiopia HQ assigned to delegate for particular a assignment.
    Provide technical & administrative support to the field worker
Qualifications and requirements:
    BA in Rural Development, Economics and other relevant fields
    At least 3 years of experience in related fields, especially in NGO background
    Experience in promotion of IGA trough cooperatives in rural context and agricultural background is mandatory
    Excellent analytic and computer skills, skilled in MS Office including Word, Excel, PPT and e-mail.
    Fluent in English, Speaking reading and writing.
