Job Description
Report to: Finance and Administration manager
Communicate with: Project officers, plan and finance team and strategic alliances
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities of this position include assisting in monitoring overall financial, and budget management of Selam Ethiopia and its strategic alliances.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviewing the accuracy of documentation, coding, and budget line item for all financial transactions
Ensuring costs are reasonable, allowable and in line with the budget
Reviewing monthly and quarterly project expenditures from Quick Book and make sure all expenditures are booked under the right project code and General Ledger IGU
Working with Project officer heads to submit their monthly fund needs every month.
Prepare monthly project accruals report
In collaboration with the Finance and Administration Manager, participate in budget preparation and revision
In collaboration with Other supportive staffs, review monthly expenditure report and update budget vs. expense tracking sheet
In Collaboration with other staffs, update budget vs. expenditure tracker sheet
In collaboration with the Finance & Administration Manager, review monthly financial reports
In collaboration with the Finance and Administration Manager, review monthly budget vs. expense/accruals report of each program area with program team leaders.
Performing other duties appropriate to the position as assigned by the Finance & Administration Manager
Job Requirements
BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or related area.
2-4 years related experience in international development programs; experience culture and music is helpful.
Experience with SIDA and other funding reporting protocols
Excellent in planning and organizational skills.
Very strong team orientation and proven willingness to work in a team.
Knowledge and proven experience in Quick Book software
