The Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE), an indigenous NGO, in the promotion and provision of Sexual Reproductive Health and Family Planning services invites competent applicants for the post of:
Position: Gyne & Obs Specialty Clinic Coordinator
Job Summary:
Responsible for organizing, coordinating and facilitating the provision of quality SRH services at the Gyne & Obs specialty clinic services in line with FGAE Strategic Plan as well as established guidelines and standards for the achievement of overall service delivery objectives. S/he reviews and makes recommendations to the management on strategic service delivery issues including re-structuring, quality improvement, profitability and sustainability of Gyne & Obs Specialty Clinic Services.
Summary of Key Functions/Results Expected
    Plans, organizes, co-ordinates and controls all the activities of the Gyne & Obs Speciality Clinic;
    Initiates policy and technical guidelines with respect to the Gyne & Obs Specialty Clinic;
    Coordinates and works with other work units to ensure that the Strategic Framework/ Plan is established, implemented and maintained effectively and efficiently in a cooperative and team work spirit;
    Ensures that the Gyne & Obs Specialty Clinic serves as site for learning and demonstration of new and innovative intervention and research activities by working in collaboration with the training unit to develop training packages, standards and conducting training programs for other NGOs, private and government sectors;
    Ensures the provision of quality laboratory services that includes HIV/AIDS/ VCT diagnosis;
    Provides comprehensive and integrated SRH services including FP, maternal and child health, CAC and STI/ HIV/ AIDS prevention and diagnosis treatment and counseling through clinic;
    Provides IEG for the elimination of unsafe abortion, post abortion care, HTP and other SRH services;

    Maintain update data management of clients and case stories and act as a learning center;
    Manage the financial , human and Materials resources of the Gyne & Obs Specialty Clinic in most effective and efficient way;
    Prepare and submit periodic performance reports;
    Conduct program analysis, root cause analysis and performance review meeting regularly and documentation of minutes and follow for action
    Establish and ensure the functionality of clinic management and performance review committee every month
    Collaborates with faculty/university/other OBY Gyn hospital and HCs to make visibility and strength partnership and referral linkage
    Ensure and act the admission of clients/patients to the services, completing appropriate clinical documentation under the Clinical Management’s guideline. Assesses individual status and care/instruction needed by the clients.
    Manage the provision of quality of care and collaborate with clinical staff to develop Quality of care strategies and utilize professional staff. Coordinate the ongoing provision of Quality of care
    Ensure/follow the development of users/clients initial progress and discharge reports, monitor status of the person served.
    Ensure and Arrange for service provision of necessary equipments, drugs, contraceptives and supplies to enable achievement of agreed upon functional goals
    Participate in physician’s morning meetings to identify gaps and resolve on time
    Monitor program hours of service to be delivered to clients and report hours and create meeting to solve the gaps
    Negotiate with funding sources for extensions of service beyond initial authorizations.
    Participate in Program Evaluation; Quality Assurance, and data quality assessment for establishing the clinical direction of the program.
    Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in relation to information that is confidential in nature. Share information to staff to maintain standards of the SRH services.
    Maintain update data management of clients and case stories and act as a learning center;
    Manage the financial , human and Materials resources of the Gyne & Obs Specialty Clinic in most effective and efficient way;
    Prepare and submit periodic performance reports;
Qualification: MPH/MA/MSc/BSC/BA in Nursing, Public Health
Experience: 5 Years for MPH/MSc/MA, 7years for BSc/BA after graduation, shall posses extensive experience as a SRH service provider in an hospital /Higher clinics (preferably)
Place of work: Gyn. & Obs. Sociality Clinic - Addis Ababa
Salary: As per the FGAE’s salary scale
Terms of Employment: one year contract, renewable based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds
