Role overview
VSO Ethiopia is seeking a dynamic experienced, and competent Head of Programmes with Monitoring and Evaluation expertise to guide the overall Country Programme strategy and implementation of related activities within the country Programme.
Skills, qualifications and experience
Essential:
He/she should have Mastery of knowledge in development studies and evidence of progressive experience in evidence-based programme development, M&E with a minimum of 8 years work experience in the NGO sector preferably in INGO of which three years shall be in senior position.
Ability to demonstrate:
-Successful team leadership and management experience in a complex INGO.
-High level involvement in strategy development and implementation work.
- Innovation in development especially in moving development outcomes into advocacy.
Ability to manage:
-Significant-sized budgets successfully.
-Representation and negotiation skills – ability to negotiate difficult deals and maintain relations with external stakeholders.
Desirable:
-Good understanding of Ethiopia development context
-Proposal development and fund raising skill
-Strong business sense and appetite for new ideas.
-Skills in developing info-graphics and presenting models visually.
