Role purpose
Strong commitment to achieve set business targets within the agreed timelines and established expense budget.
Build appropriate knowledge and expertise on Syngenta’s crop solutions to provide added value to growers, Industry influencers and channel partners.
Provide regular and timely feedback on sales forecast, market drivers and trends, competitive environment and customer needs.
Effectively plan and organize grower visits and trainings to deliver customer-centered solutions and enhance business value.
Collaborate and work effectively with colleagues within the organization and external partners to implement Campaign plans in line with the country crop plan.
Accountabilities
Accountable for 4 major areas: Crop expertise, Solution and product launch maximization, product stewardship, and business support at all customer segments (internally/externally).
Crop expertise:
Provide agronomy support and trainings to growers, key channel partners and other Industry influencers.
Deliver Integrated Crop Solutions and Unique Selling Propositions (USP’s) for Syngenta flower portfolio to the targeted market segment to achieve sales targets and business growth
Solution and product launch maximization:
Identify potential solutions to address grower needs
Define and support (commercial) trials to build and demonstrate Syngenta’s deep understanding of crop solutions and product offers.
Support new product launches via participation in trials and training.
Develop training tools to educate different stakeholders on Crop solutions
Product stewardship:
Effectively handle grower product complaints and identify new product opportunity
Business support at all customer groups:
Successfully position Syngenta with both internal and external stakeholders as the partner of choice.
Develop grower agronomic solutions and partnership opportunities; build relationships with key growers to maximize grower return on investment.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, experience & capabilities
Critical knowledge
A degree in B.Sc. Agriculture or Horticulture with Sound Agronomy knowledge and good understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
Solid crop management knowledge.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Office).
Valid Driver's License.
Critical experience
At least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Agronomist, Product Evaluator or Product Manager in the Agri-business sector.
Customer facing skills: manage relationships, build trust and offer support.
