Job Description:
Self Help Africa-Ethiopia seeks to recruit professionals for its 1) ONE Administrative Assistant-HR and admin for its Country Office 2) Two RuSACCO Officers for the Rural Saving and Credit Cooperatives project (under implementation in Oromiya, SNNPR and the Amhara Regions); 3) ONE Agriculture Project Officer (for its Bako Project, Oromiya) AND 4) ONE Community Development Facilitator (for Farta wereda Amhara) . Successful candidates will be stationed primarily at the Project offices in the three regions with frequent travels to project sites in the different weredas where the projects are being implemented. 1. Finance and Administration Assistant
Qualification and Experience: BA Degree in accounting, management, public administration, information systems, Accounting; Experience in financial administration and/or human resources administration; Experience using accounting software. At least 5 years of experience in relevant posts, of which 3 are in similar position of administration, general service, preferably in the NGO environment
2. RuSACCO Officer
Qualification and Experience: BSc degree in cooperative accounting, or cooperative auditing or related discipline; At least five years relevant working experience, preferably in an NGO environment: Experience of working in Saving and Credit Cooperatives or MFIs would be a distinct advantage; Good inter-personal and communication skills
3. Project Officer- Agriculture
Qualification and Experience:
    BSc/BA degree in general Agriculture, Agricultural extension, Agri-business, Agricultural economics, cooperative development or related fields
    At least three years relevant working experience in for example: community-oriented development work or cooperative development etc.
    Sound technical knowledge of soybean and maize production.
    Good inter-personal and communication skills; Knowledge of Afan Oromo is beneficial
4. Community Development Facilitator
Qualification and Experience:
    BSc degree in agronomy, seed technology, plant science, agriculture, agricultural extension or related fields. At least three years relevant working experience in seed production, seed regulations, improved agricultural practices, malt bailey business management, cooperative development
    Good inter-personal and communication skills
