Job Description:
Allana Potash Afar Plc (Allana)owns a mining concession area in the Woreda of Berahale and Dallol, Afar National Regional State, Ethiopia, Allana is currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for its Head Office in Addis Ababa and for Dallol Project Site.
DESIRELSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A detailed description of each vacant post is provided below. Given these posts urgently need to be filled on fixed term contract; only applicants with the required skills and experience and who could report to work on due date will be considered further.
1. Job Title: Global Buyer
No. of Positions: 2
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract for 3 months
Salary: Negotiable
KEY ROLE:
Develop, process, and monitor all global purchase coordinates all foreign purchase orders and ensures compliance with Company policy and procedure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Organizes all foreign purchases requests and submits to the Supply Chain Manager.
Obtain quotations based on approved purchase requisitions.
Receipt of approval of invoices and passing to finance department.
Assist the finance department in the reconciliation of supplier statements and in disputes with suppliers.
Maintenance of purchase order registers on a daily basis for international purchases, In order to track the status of purchases.
Ensure that all items imported are timely cleared from custom and transported to site as required, whether via Company truck or Charter Flight.
Process all bank requirements of international purchases.
Ensure that all procured items from foreign sources are having insurance coverage during transportation.
Assures that all international purchases fulfill environment and standard requirement of the country.
Provide cover for other team members as and when required.
Undertake any additional duties as may be given by the Supply Chain Manager.
Minimum Requirement and Conditions
Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field of study and 2-4 years relevant experience.
Knowledge of Ethiopian Customs rules and regulations, custom clearance procedures, shipping line procedures, Bank and Insurance procedures, transport systems, and general Supply Chain Management.
Computer literacy and ability to understand and analyse data/information with the help of different computer software,
Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written.
Able to pass a company medical assessment and on-going health checks as required, and
Able to furnish police and other related clearances as required.
2. Job title: Permits and Custom Clearance Officer
No. of Positions: 1
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract for 3 months
Salary: As per Company scale
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee will report to Program Facilitator and will have the following key responsibilities Collecting the required information to complete the customs clearances, ensuring all information added is correct and accurate, process custom cleanse of shipments following the Ethiopian Customs requirements, contacts with Ethiopian customs, Agents, and clients on daily basis as required, process visa, work permits, resident permits, licenses and certificates from government offices as and when necessary.
Minimum Requirement and Conditions
Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field of study and 1-2 years relevant experience.
Knowledge of Ethiopian Customs rules and regulations, custom clearance procedures, shipping line procedures, transport systems, and general Supply Chain Management.
Computer literacy and ability to understand and analyse data/information with the help of different computer software,
Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written.
Able to pass a company medical assessment and on-going health checks as required, and
Able to furnish police and other related clearances as required.
Adherence to and compliance with all Company policies is required.
3. Job Title: Boilermaker/Pipe Fitter
No. of Positions: 1
Duty Station: Dallol Project Site
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract for 3 months
Salary: Negotiable
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee will report to Maintenance Manager and will have the following key responsibilities: connects all types of Pipes, Plats and other metals as per Company requirements.
Minimum Requirement and Conditions
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Boiler or Welding Shopworks
Position of Diploma in plumbing or welding
Qualified Government Trade Test (COG Certificate in plumbing and welding)
Proficiency in reading Engineering Drawings
Able to develop and calculate dimensions according to drawings
Can prepare materials for welding (Pipe and Plate)
Able to pass a company medical assessment and on-going health checks as required,.’
Able to furnish police and other related clearances as required, and
Adherence to and compliance with all Company policies is required.
